Our Partnership

Our partnership with Nova's Legacy Cheetah Project in South Africa focuses on big cat conservation, specifically through our cheetah volunteer program. We have designed a unique initiative that combines wildlife volunteering, marine conservation volunteering, and adventure travel, giving you the chance to make a real impact while exploring two of the most breathtaking destinations in the world.

More about Nova's Legacy Cheetah Project

Set on a 1,000‑hectare wildlife reserve, this cheetah volunteer program is ideal for those seeking wildlife conservation volunteer opportunities in Africa, particularly those who wish to contribute to big cat conservation. Volunteers engage in caring for cheetahs, lions, tigers, servals, and caracals while participating in essential tasks such as cleaning enclosures, supporting feeding routines, and assisting with wildlife monitoring and animal relocations. The experience includes witnessing the unforgettable Cheetah Run, offering a rare glimpse into the power and speed of these remarkable animals.

Volunteering at Nova's Legacy Cheetah Project

Nova’s Legacy Cheetah Project relies heavily on the support of volunteers to continue its wildlife conservation work, particularly in big cat conservation. As a dedicated breeding centre, the project aims to strengthen the cheetah gene pool in captivity, supporting the long‑term goal of reintroducing genetically healthy cheetahs into the African wilderness when conditions allow.

Alongside the well‑known spotted cheetahs, the centre also cares for rare king cheetahs and operates an educational programme focused on cheetah biology and predator‑related challenges. This cheetah volunteer program invites nature‑loving, open‑minded individuals who are ready for hands‑on work, new experiences, and the adventure of contributing directly to cheetah conservation.

Volunteers assist with the daily care of the animals, including preparing food, feeding, cleaning enclosures, and supporting general husbandry tasks. While the project focuses on cheetahs, those interested in marine conservation volunteering may also find opportunities in related initiatives that support wildlife preservation efforts.

Experience both worlds - South Africa & Mauritius

Experience an exceptional multi-destination volunteer programme that combines meaningful big cat conservation work in South Africa with eco-volunteering in Mauritius. This unique volunteer package allows participants to contribute to wildlife conservation, including a cheetah volunteer program, marine protection, and environmental restoration across two of the most breathtaking regions in the world. Designed for travellers seeking purpose-driven adventure, the programme blends hands-on impact with immersive exploration, offering the chance to work with iconic African wildlife while also helping preserve Mauritius’ vibrant reefs and coastlines through marine conservation volunteering. As an all-in-one, impact-focused volunteer experience, it provides unforgettable opportunities to support conservation efforts while discovering the natural beauty and cultural richness of both destinations.
